Bedford Underwriters is a Managing General Agency and Wholesale Insurance Broker. We provide independent insurance agents access to specialty insurance markets that can write hard to place or unique accounts.  We opened our doors back in 1990 and have remained a family owned business. Since we have binding authority with numerous markets, we often can quote, bind and issue polices right in our office with short lead times. We have an excellent staff ready to take on a wide array of challenges. Many of our people have been with us for over 15 years, so they have the experience to help you with a wide range of accounts, large or small. Our Staff

ABBEY CLARK, Underwriter - Cell Phone - 414-640-8962 Email Abbey Abbey was raised in Plymouth, WI.  After graduating from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in Communication Arts, she moved to the Milwaukee area. She joined Bedford Underwriters in 2012 and has enjoyed working alongside her family. She currently resides in Mequon, WI. Outside of work she loves spending time with her family, baking, trying new restaurants and going to the movies.     ALICIA LINDSLEY, Underwriting Assistant - Ext 118 Email Alicia Alicia was born and raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. In her free time, Alicia enjoys reading a great book, cooking up a storm, and spending time with her husband, dogs and family.     ANN STEMPER, Underwriter - Ext 120 Email Ann Ann was born and raised in Sheboygan Wisconsin. She started working in the insurance industry while in high school. After 18 years, Ann worked in retail and then was offered a job as a Business Analyst for a software company who did programming for insurance companies.  Ann joined Bedford Underwriters 13 years ago.  She has 35 years of experience in the insurance industries.  Ann enjoys working with people.     MANDA SCHWARTZ, Underwriter - Ext 126 Email Manda Manda joined Bedford Underwriters June 2003. She has a BA English and Master of Science in Leadership and Quality. Bedford was her first foray in insurance. She has two amazing children who keep her very busy. When not at work, Manda leads a 4H Club, dabbles in photography and enjoys spending time with her family and great friends.     NANCY FILLION, Accounting, Claims, Administrative Assistant - Ext 119 Email Nancy Nancy was born and raised in Altamont, Illinois. She moved to Wisconsin in 1986. The past ten years, Nancy lived in Plymouth. Nancy has over 30 years of office experience. She joined Bedford in 2002. Her interests include watching the Packers and spending time with her family and friends.     KALI LAMPARSKI, Underwriting Assistant - Ext 121 Email Kali Kali is a Wisconsin native, born and raised in Beaver Dam. She has been working in the insurance business since 2016 and has held multiple roles. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being outdoors.     EMILY CONNOR, Underwriter - Cell Phone - 920-838-5380 Email Emily Emily joined Bedford Underwriters in April 2020, after moving from New York City back to Wisconsin where she grew up. She's been very much enjoying working for the family business after working in the advertising industry for 8 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and two cats in Shorewood, WI.     PAUL BOERMSA, Underwriting Assistant – Ext 122 Email Paul Paul joined Bedford in February of 2024 having acquired his Master of Business Administration Degree the year prior. He has a BA in Communication with work experience in digital content production, health care administration, and insurance billing. He grew up in a military family, but his folks most recently reside in the suburbs of Washington DC. He can be found running, reading, competing, meditating, or relaxing alongside his wife and friends in Milwaukee. He also has a keen interest in art and markets.      SONYA BINVERSIE, Policy Issuance - Ext 110 Email Sonya Sonya joined Bedford Underwriters in October of 1997. She was born and raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Sonya enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, watching movies, and working in her garden.     TOM CONNOR, CPCU, President - Ext 112 Email Tom Tom grew up on a small dairy farm in Wisconsin. His insurance career stated in 1979 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. He started Bedford Underwriters in 1990. When not at the office, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife Nancy and their four children. Tom enjoys going to a Green Bay Packers or Milwaukee Brewers game and occasionally spends time on the links.
